Laser Spine Institute - Overcharged
Laser Spine Institute - Overcharged - Image 2
I went to Laser Spine on 6/1/2023. I received a high pressure sales pitch and a "diagnosis" of spinal stenosis from a flexibility examination. That type of pronouncement requires x-rays. The laser treatment improved my pain but not nearly as much as a different chiropractor I attended later. I signed a contract for one price. Then was billed to care credit for 3 times that price. I'm currently disputing those charges.

Worst Customer Service. No Patient Contact.

Don't go to the Laser Spine Institute in Tampa, FL. Their all over you until you get there & they decide your not a candidate for the surgical procedure. The Doctor I consulted with was supposed to call me with my MRI results and NEVER called. I had to order my records to find out what was wrong and found out other things were going on I should have been told about. To this day, they've never called to consult about the results. I think its illegal for a Dr to sign off on a report he never confered with the patient on for results. The records group was quick in getting my records to me, but couldnt believe no-one ever bothered to call. I was in town for a week and told I would be called that week. Never happened. Wasted my time even going to the appt that ANOTHER of their Dr's told me I needed in order to get some testing done to see what was actually causing my pain versus having the surgery they do done as he didnt think my condition was severe enough to qualify. The Dr at the appt thought this was another consult instead and had no clue what testing the other Dr. was talking about that they are supposed to offer. They had the nerve to file the claim with my insurance to get paid for such poor service without giving the patient their test results and recommendations. Thought I'd seen it all. Don't go there if you want results. Most spine surgeries are only temporary fixes anyway. Another patient even confirmed that with me while I was in the waiting room. They were back for another round it seems.

I have called for two weeks after sending in my MRI results and have spoken with the call center *** who doesn't care one whit.

Mostly question if they even provide service or is this just a sampling to determine market demand. In any case I will not trust my health to these nonprofessionals.
